Race day 2009 - Australia.

Finally the first race of the 2009 Formula One season started. The two Brawn Mercedes cars started the race with the 1st and 2nd positions. The Toyota team was penalized and were made to start the race from the pit lanes. The start of the race proceeded as the five red lights illuminated. It was a very bad start for one of the Brawn team cars, which Barichello was driving. He lost four positions and dropped to 6th place from 2nd. The start was perfect for Ferrari as both the Ferrari cars made a good comeback. Massa moved up to 3rd position and Raikkonen to 5th position. But they couldn’t hold on for the complete race. Massa had technical issues with his car and was retired in the middle of the race. Raikkonen crashed against a wall and had lost his places and completed the race only in 15th place. Meanwhile both the brawn team completed the race in 1st and 2nd podium finishes. Button won the race and Barichello completed in 2nd place. The Brawn team was excited that they made a good start in their debut race and also they were hoping for their championship points. This season will be good time to watch Formula One as there are many good teams competing for the championship title.
